As a freelancer I am used to being brought into companies at busy times and I am therefore very good at working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. I adapt quickly to new environments and ways of working and I enjoy using my initiative to find creative solutions. I am happy to work independatly or as part of a design team.
I have worked for a number of design companies including: Saga Digital, Saga’s in house web team; Netsite, a website design company; Blaze Design, an international point of sale company; Cohesion, a print and new media company; Westgate, an agency specialising in creative design, PR and event management; Red Red Design, Claygate’s inhouse design company; Nomen, an international naming consultancy and Cortexx Creative, a small graphic design company. In addition I have worked with a number of my own clients, predominantly educational projects, small businesses and voluntary organisations.
I combine innovative design concepts with attention to detail and practicality. I am familiar with all stages of the design process and have often taken projects from initial meetings with a potential client through to a finished product. I have a particular interest in accessibility and endeavour to make sure all my design work complies with standard accessibility guidelines.
